Chan Patel began his career as an information technologist -- a programmer working for the airline industry in Dallas-Fort Worth (DFW), Texas. After working steadily and saving money, Patel bought into his first hotel/motel in the DFW area. Early on, Patel worked in the hotel and at his programming job simultaneously to insure everything kept afloat, but within a short timeframe his consistent, dedicated work ethic enabled him to focus on operating the hotel full-time. After the initial hotel acquisition, he quickly bought into more.
